Q) What if it takes longer than expected to form my group?
A) Please understand, we can form a group only when we find the right match of people as per their commuting needs not worry. Your charges will start only after your group has been formed.
Q) Why should I keep paying Megacarpool after my group is formed? Now I know these people on a personal level.
A) We are not just about forming groups. Our services go much beyond that. We keep track of KM you have given or taken rides, we coordinate on members’ behalf & find solution whenever someone skips pooling on a particular day. If you’re not comfortable with your group, we will give you alternatives. Most important, if a member leaves your group, we will fill in the place with new member. All this and much more which you’ll experience once you start using our services.
Q) Can Megacarpool share info about prospective group members?
A) No, once you have become a member, system automatically searches and matches you with right group members. It is impossible to provide such info manually.
Q) Are my details kept confidential?
A) Yes, all information is kept totally confidential. We at Megacarpool will contact you regarding carpool and confirm the same as per your convenience, then the system will send you an email with his/her profile to say that there is a possible match. Then it is up to the individuals to start with the service as soon as possible.
Q) When I send SMS to your given number, am I charged for it?
A) Yes, as per the plan you’ve taken from your telecom provider. Telecom operator at very nominal rates.
Q) I have a car can I just give rides? Or, can I just take rides?
A) Yes, Carpooling is about your convenience. You can use it as per your commuting needs where you can simply avail our back up service and relax while on your way to work with like minded people.
Q) What are the insurance implications of carpooling?
A) Make sure that the person you drive with has valid registration and insurance. All carpoolers travel at their own risk.
Q) What will happen when someone not available or skips carpool?
A) In case a member is not available on a particular day or Giver skips carpool Megacarpool shall provide guaranteed ride with a maximum of 4 members without any extra charges.
Q) Its okay to say "no"
A) Don’t carpool with someone unless you are comfortable doing so. There is no obligation. There is no pressure to continue. Or, if a problem arises within your carpooling arrangement that you are unable to resolve, you are under no obligation to continue. Simply call us and ask for change!
